Wedding on Mt Washington

Perhaps you have heard about the weather on Mt Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast.  From the website: The world’s highest recorded surface wind speed observed by man was clocked on the summit of Mount Washington by Observatory crew on April 12, 1934 at an almost incredible 231 miles per hour! Oh, and the summit is in the clouds 60% of the time.  And the last time I was there with a wedding party there was a snowball fight.  In June.

But Suzanne and Justin are very intrepid, and they had faith. So they brought their friends and family to the summit for their ceremony and were rewarded with one of the best days of the year, Mt Washington-wise.  The views were extraordinary and the day was a memorable one. I’ll post a couple of my favorites and a little slideshow.

OK…does this look like one of the windiest places on earth?

And another thing, as a lover of shoes, I did not know that you could customize Keds with your choice of color, materials, words, or even photos.  These then, would be the perfect shoes for Suzanne and Justin’s wedding…..

Here are some of the highlights to enjoy….

I’m planning a wedding on Mt. Washington for this autumn. If Suzanne and Justin are amenable with it, I’d love to be in touch with them (AND you) to pick their brains about arrangements. Thanks!
