If you are out and about, the opening reception is Friday May 4th, from 5-7pm.  Please stop by and have a look.  The opening coincides with Art around Town’s First Friday of the Month.  All the downtown Portsmouth galleries will be showing new work, with free refreshments.  Its a great vibe in downtown Portsmouth and definitely worth stopping by.

If you’ve noted the beautiful decor, colors, and lighting in the above photographs, props go out to Marc Hall Design and their amazing staff.  They transformed a very traditional ballroom into a moonlit scene with silvery light and cool colors.  Absolutely gorgeous.

We were incredibly fortunate for so many things during the wedding weekend. One was the weather…and the other was the fact that on a beautiful day during a holiday weekend, we had the location practically to ourselves (for a few minutes, anyway!)

Stefanie has always been fascinated by them as well, so she commissioned these beautiful hats from Maggie Mae Designs for her bridesmaids.  Also amazing…the hat box.  There’s something thrilling about lifting up the lid.  You’re not just opening a box, you are opening yourself up to a romantic adventure!

We took a few photographs in the park across the street, it was such a lovely day.

Kerry’s mother Kathy worked tirelessly to get the gardens perfect for the wedding!  Kerry greeted the neighbors from the porch before leaving for the ceremony….

They were married at South Church in Portsmouth (a photographer’s favorite due to the beautiful light streaming through the windows)

What’s the first thing a local would do after the ceremony?  Stop at the Ice House for a frappe!  (ok, not in Portsmouth, but just over the bridge in Newcastle)

Make a brief stop at the Newcastle Town Common for some photographs with the wedding party….

Hop on a Tugboat….

Arrive at the docks to greet your guests at Harbour Place…

Spend a gorgeous evening with family and friends next to the Piscataqua and the Memorial Bridge!

I love this photo.  It always seems to me that the moments of anticipation just before the ceremony and just afterwards are moments of bliss.

Most tourists know the North Church Steeple as a symbol of the city of Portsmouth,  but inside there’s a beautiful light to capture some great photos of the ceremony.
